PetrSU Hosted an Event in the framework of the Days of France in Petrozavodsk
During the meeting the students learned that the band was founded ten years ago and that it consisted not only of professional musicians, but also of former teachers of history, the English language and even mathematics. The musicians also told what role Guy de Maupassant’s short story La Maison Tellier had played in the choice of the name for the band. French guests shared their impressions of Russia and in a friendly conversation discussed the stereotypes of the Russian and French people.
“Such meetings are a great opportunity for our students to practice their knowledge of foreign languages with native speakers,” said the senior teacher of the Department of the German and French languages Olga Veselovskaya.
