The official closing ceremony of the International Summer Collegiate Programming Camp took place at Petrozavodsk State University, the Flagship University of the region.

The camps are the best training ground for the ACM Programming Championship. Traditionally, over one hundred programmers from all over Russia, near and far abroad, gather here. This time is no exception. From August 21 till August 31 the programmers from Russia, Belorussia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Romania, Japan, and India have been solving cases at PetrSU.

The President of Petrozavodsk State University Victor Vasiliev congratulated the participants on the end of the camp:

“I see it in your eyes that you have learned valuable knowledge and had a great time. Some coped better with the problems, others came short in terms of strength and experience. Still, by solving the problems for five hours in the course of a week, you have completed a crash course in programming. Not every professional can do this. I am sure that the knowledge you have gained here will help you at the Programming Championship, for which most of you will qualify, and in your professional activities.”

The Vice-Director of the Institute of Mathematics and Information Technologies Aleksandr Borodin also addressed the participants and wished them to enjoy their journey to the excellence in the profession.

The winner of the camp is the team of Moscow State University with 183.69 points. The second place is taken by the team of Saint-Petersburg ITMO University with 171.40 points. The third place was taken by the students of the Moscow Institute of Applied Technologies (136.37).
