PetrSU International Students at a Lecture on the Laws of Russia
Petrozavodsk State University held a meeting for international students on the topic "Some aspects of the legislation of the Russian Federation and the necessity for observing the law by foreign citizens".
"The number of international students of PetrSU increases from year to year. Many of them find themselves in a completely different culture; they have other code of conduct, the perception of reality, and legislation. But as they are in another country, they should be informed. Every student applying to the university is told about his rights and duties, but such meetings for all our international students are of great importance. At these meetings, experts explain the laws and requirements applicable to foreign citizens. International students can ask questions and get the relevant information," said Marina Gvozdeva, the Vice-Rector for International Affairs.
Such meetings for international students of PetrSU are held every semester. This time the students were instructed by the Inspector for Special Assignments of the Immigration Control Department of the Directorate for Migration Affairs of the MIA of the Republic of Karelia, Major of Police M.E. Mikheev, Deputy Head of the Drug Control Service of the MIA of the Republic of Karelia, Colonel of Police V.V. Izmailov, Member of the Public Council under the MIA of the Republic of Karelia Abdul' Aziz.
