International School on Social Work
“Issues of social wellbeing of people in this day and age are becoming exceedingly relevant on both sides of the Russian-Finnish border,” said Yulia Petrovskaya, acting head of the Department of Social Science and Social Work, participant of the international school on social work.
The event was held at Petrozavodsk State University. The school convened teachers and students of PetrSU and Saimaa University of Applied Sciences, Lappeenranta, Finland, to discuss this pressing issue.
The school featured lectures and discussions on the issues of social work with family, children, elderly people, and other demographic groups. The participants also identified possible directions for further cooperation between PetrSU and Saimaa University of Applied Sciences.
