French Resource Center of PetrSU Broadens its Capacity
The Head of the Center Nadezhda Barymova became the representative of PetrSU at the Campus France International Agency, the principal information center for higher education in France. The broadening of the network of regional representatives of the Agency in Russia is aimed at facilitating in choosing educational programs and rendering services to international students studying in France. The French Resource Center of PetrSU offers students, postgraduates, and teachers of the university academic mobility programs.
On May 31 and June 1 the Head of the French Resource Center of PetrSU, the senior teacher of the Department of the German and French Languages of PetrSU Nadezhda Barymova took part in the training session for specialists in the promotion of the French higher education in Russia. The session was organized by the Department of Cooperation and Cultural Affairs of the Embassy of France in Russia and took place in the French Institute in Moscow.
The Campus France is the French National Agency for the promotion of higher education. Russia has 5 offices of the Campus France in Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Samara, Yekaterinburg, and Novosibirsk, which work under the guidance of the Embassy of France in Russia. The goal of the Campus France is to promote the French system of higher education abroad, inform of administrative procedures connected with studying in France, help foreign students in choosing educational programs and arranging their stay in the country.
The goal of the session was to broaden the regional network of the Campus France. The representatives of the universities of Petrozavodsk, Penza, Kazan, Orenburg, Pyatigorsk, Kaliningrad, Irkutsk, and Chelyabinsk discussed news about the French higher education, guidance, and counseling of the students, and received information about the 2018-2019 scholarships.
In this way, the French Resource Center of PetrSU broadens its range of activities and will consult students, postgraduates, and teachers on the opportunities for receiving higher education in France.
