Scientific Internship in Modern Areas
Sergey Marchenkov, the postgraduate student of the Department of Computer Science and Mathematical Support, (academic supervisor Associate Professor Dmitry Korzun) undergoes training and research internship at the University of Latvia (Riga, Latvia) during the fall semester of the 2018/2019 academic year as part of the joint project of scientific and educational cooperation on the international academic mobility program Erasmus + between the University of Latvia and PetrSU.
The young scientist from Petrozavodsk State University conducts scientific research on the development of intelligent space methods for building information systems for people’s collaborative activity based on Semantic Web technologies and the Internet of Things.
The need for such information systems is caused by the challenges of developing a digital economy and digital society. Currently, he is discussing and performing an expert analysis of the proposed solutions together with the leading scientists of the Faculty of Computing in the field of information and communication technologies. For developing software and conducting experiments, the researchers actively employ the computing infrastructure of the testing facility of the Institute of Electronics and Informatics, which offers solutions for creating wireless sensor networks that can be effectively used in systems of collaborative activities.
