PetrSU Establishes Ties with Educational Institutions of Russia and Finland
Professor of the Department of Applied Mathematics and Cybernetics of the Institute of Mathematics and Information Technologies of PetrSU Roman Voronov together with representatives of Yakutsk State Agricultural Academy went on an educational tour to educational institutions of Finland.
A delegation from Russian universities visited South Savo Vocational College (the city of Mikkeli) that has strong relations with Russian companies and educational institutions and develops own educational programs. At the meeting with the Rector of the College, the guests discussed the Finnish education system.
At the meeting with Tommi Anttonen, the Director of the Department of Riveria College in the city of Valtimo the delegation discussed problems of modern education, technologies of distance education.
The representatives of Russian universities went on a tour to the logistics center and plant of Ponsse company that specializes in the production and maintenance of wood harvesting machines working with CTL technology. Afterward, the visitors met with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the company Juha Vidgren.
During the visit to Finland, representatives of PetrSU and YSAA discussed prospects for cooperation in the area of science and education, as well as in the development of methods of mathematical modeling for solving problems of forestry and agricultural industry.
