Video Conference on the Results of the 1st Round of the BRIDGE Project
On May 20-21 the Institute of Economics and Law held a video conference on the final presentations of 12 business cases of the 1st round of the international educational project BRIDGE, 6 of which featured the Master Degree students of the “Economics and Finance” program.
Altogether over 60 people took part in the BRIDGE conference. The project BRIDGE – Barents Region Initiative for Developing Growth and Employability is a part of Kolarctic 2014-2020 program and aims to foster cross-border cooperation between small enterprises and universities, as well as develop employability skills among students.
The video conference involved all 5 partner universities of the project: PetrSU, Arctic University of Norway, Lapland University of Applied Sciences, Murmansk Arctic State University and ITMO University.
The final presentation of business cases with the results of three months of work of international teams involved commissioners, coaches and project coordinators.
Students from different universities took turns delivering their presentations. The online reports were followed by comments and feedback from representatives of such Finnish companies as Oy Aurora Data and Systems Ltd, Oy BeSmart Consulting Ltd, Datadrivers Oy, Hovilompolo, Hulkoffgården AB, Town of Tornio, Tervolan Kurkiaura Oy, Lappari, Kemi Tourism Ltd.
The proposals of the interdisciplinary international teams mainly concerned expanded use of such marketing tools as SMM, digital-marketing, storytelling, marketing year clock, which was appreciated by the commissioners.
The next round of the BRIDGE project, 50% financed by the European Union, will take place in October 2019 in the Norwegian city of Vardo located in the Arctic zone.
