Students and Teachers of the Department of Tourism Joined Finnish Students to Develop Tourism Products
On May 20-24 Sortavala hosted the international educational course for students of the Department of Tourism of the Institute of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism and the University of Eastern Finland (Joensuu) on the development of tourism products in cultural tourism within the FIRST+ academic mobility program.
The students studied tourism and recreational potential of the Northern Ladoga, visited objects of tourism infrastructure, developed five new tourism products for various target groups, and presented recommendations for their promotion. The course was held in the English language.
Description of the tourism products and recommendations on their promotion will be provided to the Regional Resource Center of Sortavala for propagation among interested organizations and people in the framework of the roadmap implemented by PetrSU and Sortavala region.
