Victory at the Third International Calligraphy Contest “Copying Pushkin” in Czechia
The students of the Preparatory Faculty of PetrSU Nguyen Thi Ngoc Anh and Dinh Bao Vy from Vietnam won at the third international calligraphy contest “Copying Pushkin”.
In spring the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Brno (the Czech Republic) hosted the opening of the 11th Festival of Russian Culture “Russian Spring in Moravia”. The Festival is organized by the Russian Cultural and Educational Society of Moravia with the support of the Mayor’s Office of the city of Brno, Administration of South Moravia, Consulate General of Russia in the city of Brno, and the Representative Office of Rossotrudnichestvo in Czechia. The program of the festival includes art exhibitions, concerts of classical and contemporary music, Russian language days, creative meetings, which are held from March till June in different cities of South Moravia.
The festival also featured the third international calligraphy contest “Copying Pushkin” dedicated to the 220-year anniversary of the great poet’s birth. Over 100 people from Russia, the Baltic States, Slovakia, and Czechia took part in the contest.
The student of the Preparatory Faculty of PetrSU Nguyen Thi Ngoc Anh won the 1st place in the category “Text and Translation”, while Dinh Bao Vy took the 1st place in the category “Text with Illustration”.
Lyubov Vondroushkova, the chairperson of the Russian Cultural and Educational Society of South Moravia RKOSM, thanked the Associate Professor of the Department of Russian as a Foreign Language of the Institute of Philology of PetrSU Natalia Urvantseva for her effort to promote the Russian culture, high level of training among international students and the support of the international festival.
