The Admissions Office of PetrSU sees the first lines. We asked the young people why they have chosen PetrSU and what are their expectations.

Aleksey Brovko:

I want to be a student of the Institute of Physics and Technology. In the future, I will be an engineer.

-   Why PetrSU?

First of all, the university is in Petrozavodsk which is my home city. Secondly, I have heard good things about it from friends, teachers. I have often come here when I studied at school, it was interesting. I think it will be hard but engaging. It is a challenge I am willing to take.”

Alina Mikhailova:

I apply to the Institute of Biology, Ecology and Agricultural Technologies. I want to become a dog handler.

-  Why PetrSU?

Many of my friends study here and say that PetrSU has a great atmosphere, kind and professional teachers. Moreover, I know that this program is in demand at Petrozavodsk University. I love training dogs, I own a Labrador and we have a great rapport. When I learn the profession I will help dog owners to understand their pets better as a specialist.

Nikita Klimov:

I apply to the Institute of Forestry, Mining and Construction Sciences. I know that Petrozavodsk University is the best in the Northwest. It has high rankings. Today my goal is to enroll and learn the profession of a builder. For this, I have chosen PetrSU.

Anna Ivanova:

I apply to the Institute of Foreign Languages to learn the profession of a translator. I love the English language. Why PetrSU? I know that it is the Flagship University of the Republic of Karelia, it hosts international conferences, offers foreign internships, so while studying I will have great opportunities to practice the English language.

Kseniya Sidorkova:

I apply to the “Journalism” program of the Institute of Philology. I like writing on different topics: ecology, medicine. When I become an established journalist I want to interview the President of Russia.

This time we talked to prospective students from Petrozavodsk. Next time we will introduce you to applicants from the regions and other cities of our country.
