Why Applicants Choose PetrSU?
The admission campaign at PetrSU continues. According to the Admissions Office, as of July 2 the university has received 2257 applications to intramural programs from 1091 prospective students.
Vasily Katarov, the Vice-Rector for Social and Disciplinary Work, visited the Admission Office of the Institute of Forestry, Mining and Construction Sciences to welcome the future students and wish them the best of luck.
“I myself has enrolled in PetrSU and studied on the Forest Engineering program. Our group was the most close-knit, of 52 students 14 were medalists. Previously all directors of large wood harvesting companies and enterprises were graduates of the program. Now we likewise see great interest in this area among applicants.”
Viktoria Fedotova came from Suojarvi to apply to the Institute of Forestry, Mining and Construction Sciences:
“I want to become an engineer. It has always been my dream. My mother, father, and grandmother work in the forest industry. Many of my acquaintances and friends have studied at Petrozavodsk State University and now work in their professions. I have heard a lot about the university, its representatives have visited us, and I have toured the Institute during the Open Doors Day. I know a lot about the university, for instance how to apply for the enhanced scholarship.”
Kseniya Palchikova, Medvezhegorsk:
“I apply to the Institute of History, Political and Social Sciences. PetrSU diploma is sought after everywhere, it will be easier to get employed. I think that during studies I will be able to fulfill myself in volunteering or acting. I know that the university has many creative groups.”
