PetrSU at the 5th St. Petersburg International Oncology Forum “White Nights”

The Head of the Department of Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Economics and Policy, Head of the Laboratory of Preclinical Studies, Cellular Pathology and Bioregulation of the Institute of High Biomedical Technologies of PetrSU Professor Irina Vinogradova took part in the 5th St. Petersburg international oncology forum “White Nights”.

The Head of the Department of Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Economics and Policy, Head of the Laboratory of Preclinical Studies, Cellular Pathology and Bioregulation of the Institute of High Biomedical Technologies of PetrSU Professor Irina Vinogradova took part in the 5th St. Petersburg international oncology forum “White Nights”.

St. Petersburg international oncology forum “White Nights” can be rightfully called the largest event in oncology held in Russia. In 2019 the forum set the all-time record.

On June 20-23 the platforms of the forum welcomed 5259 people from 39 countries. Around 500 participants joined the forum online, throughout its work the organizers recorded over 11 000 connections. A large audience was drawn to the sessions on ambulatory oncology, organization of clinical and preclinical studies, automated information systems in medicine, which highlighted the importance of these areas among the medical community.

The scientific program of the 5th Petersburg international oncology forum “White Nights 2019” was accredited in the framework of the program of life-long medical education.

Professor Vinogradova reported at the symposium “Prospects of geroprotectors as anticancer agents” with her report “Melatonin and epiphysis peptide Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly in the prevention of cancer and aging with light desynchronosis” that summed up more than 15 years of research in this area done by the department.
