PetrSU Takes Part in Preparation of the Days of Karelia in Finland

On July 10 the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Finland Pavel Kuznetsov met with the Deputy Head of the Republic of Karelia, chief of staff Tatiana Ignatieva. The delegation of the Republic of Karelia also included Valery Shlyamin, the Advisor to the Rector of Petrozavodsk State University.

On July 10 the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Finland Pavel Kuznetsov met with the Deputy Head of the Republic of Karelia, chief of staff Tatiana Ignatieva. The delegation of the Republic of Karelia also included Valery Shlyamin, the Advisor to the Rector of Petrozavodsk State University.

The parties discussed the Days of the Republic of Karelia in Finland to be held in June 2020 and dedicated to the 100-year anniversary of the foundation of the Republic. The Days of Karelia are planned to include business missions with the participation of representatives of the business community of Karelia, a roundtable discussion of the development of the cross-border cooperation, presentation of tourism opportunities of the region, as well as a series of cultural events.

The Government of Karelia has formed a working group for preparation for the anniversary, which includes a representative of Petrozavodsk State University in Valery Shlyamin.

The Embassy of Russia to Finland supported the initiatives of the Government of the Republic of Karelia and Petrozavodsk State University, the Flagship University of the region.
