PetrSU Scientists Study the Mystery of Sandarmoh

“Mystery of Sandarmoh. Part I: Mysterious Graves of the Forest Massif” is the name of a book published in the Finnish language by the renowned public figure of Finland Johan Backman.

“Mystery of Sandarmoh. Part I: Mysterious Graves of the Forest Massif” is the name of a book published in the Finnish language by the renowned public figure of Finland Johan Backman.

Its authors are the Director of the Institute of History, Political and Social Sciences of Petrozavodsk State University, member of the Russian Military Historical Society, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Sergey Verigin and prominent Karelian journalist, editor-in-chief of the Carelia journal (in the Finnish language) Armas Mashin.

The book is based on the hypothesis of Sergey Verigin and Yuri Kilin (Director of the Institute of Northern European Studies of PetrSU, Head of the Department of History, Political Studies and International Relations of PetrSU).

The book consists of two parts: “Mystery of Sandarmoh: are there graves of Soviet POWs in the Sandarmoh massif?” and “Who and why is opposed to solving the mysteries of Sandarmoh”.

At the beginning of autumn, the book is planned to be issued in the Russian language.
