Mir Student Club
In 2021, Petrozavodsk State University started the Mir Student Club, the purpose of which is to help international students of PetrSU adapt to the university and the city of Petrozavodsk.
The Mir Student Club holds a large number of events aimed at harmonizing relations between Russian and international students.
The Mir Student Club made the top 10 winners of the competition for grant support for humanitarian research and project initiatives of young people for development, held by the Pushkin Institute with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia.
In 2022, the members of the Club were invited to the Komi Republic to exchange experiences at the Students International festival, which received grant support from Rosmolodezh.
During its existence, the Mir Student Club has held more than 45 events, and together with the student council of the dormitories created the Neighbours project, aimed at adapting international students living in dormitories.
Among the main events of the Club are the Festival of Talents (performances by students from different countries), Language Fair (presentations of different cultures and languages), International Speed-Friending (fast, international connections), etc.
