What is this program about? A unique Master’s degree program on the history of Northern Europe provides knowledge in the field of history, politics, international relations, culture and languages of the countries in Northern Europe (Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Iceland as well as the Baltic and Barents regions).
What the training involves: students study courses in history, methodology and contemporary issues; history and culture of Northern European countries; history of international relations, regional and cross-border cooperation in Northern Europe.
Foreign language courses are designed for specific purposes. It is up to a student to choose a level of Finnish and Swedish (from Beginner to Advanced) he or she will learn according to the level of prior learning experiences.
Qualification: Master’s degree in History
Employment: this qualification allows pursuing a career in the field of science and research, international cooperation, education, culture, tourism and business.
Further studies: Graduates can continue their studies at the postgraduate school of Russian or foreign universities, research centers in the framework of postgraduate programs as well as PhD programs.
