Preparatory Department
Would you like to study at a Russian university? Take your first step with the Preparatory Department of Petrozavodsk State University. At PetrSU you can start or continue learning the Russian language and study specific subjects in different areas in order to prepare for studying on Bachelor’s, Specialist’s or Master's degree programs at PetrSU or any other Russian university.
Specialization of the programs:
- medicine
- engineering and technologies
- humanities
- economics
- natural sciences
Period of training: 1 academic year (October – June)
- The 1st semester: Russian
- The 2nd semester: Russian + professional subjects referred to your future field of study (depending on the chosen full-degree program specialization)
After you complete the program, you can apply for PetrSU BA, MA and Specialist’s programs.
- Study fee at the Preparatory Department 2025-2026: 160 000 rubles
- Accommodation at the dormitory: about 1000 rubles per month
The study fee can be covered by the scholarship provided for the foreigners by the Government of the Russian Federation.
