PetrSU at the International Forum
On May 19-20, Tashkent hosted the International Tourism Forum “A New Stage of Cooperation between the SCO Countries: Tourism and Cultural Heritage”.
Within the framework of the Forum, Konstantin Tarasov, the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of PetrSU, took part in a sectional meeting “Cooperation in the Field of Education and Science, Tourism and Cultural Heritage of the SCO Countries: Current State and Prospects”. He delivered a report titled "North - South: Integration of Practices and Experience in the Field of Tourism and Cultural Heritage in the Spotlight of Education". Rectors of Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Turkey universities, as well as representatives of educational and scientific institutions of India, China, Mongolia and Pakistan, made presentations at this section.
The international forum is timed to coincide with the Summit of the SCO Heads of State, which is to be held in Samarkand on September 15-16, 2022.
The Forum goals are to strengthen interaction between states in the field of tourism, trust, friendship and good neighborliness; support and maintain educational and scientific cooperation; promote the tourism potential of the SCO member states.
