Career Opportunities for International Students of PetrSU

On June 20, a working meeting of international students from India with employees of the Career Center of PetrSU took place. The meeting was organized to discuss issues of employing international students for the summer period in youth, social and medical institutions and organizations in the city of Petrozavodsk. The event was also attended by the Head of the Department of International Projects and Programs of PetrSU A.A. Rogozin.

From the very beginning of the meeting, university representatives emphasized the importance of employing international students not only as a way to earn money, but also as a unique opportunity to practice the Russian language. Students from India were able to ask questions that interested them and receive detailed answers regarding working conditions, responsibilities and employer requirements.

Director of the Career Center I.V. Kononova noted:

“It is important for us that international students are not only able to find a job, but also gain valuable experience in communicating in Russian, which will help them in their further studies. We also strive to make their stay in Petrozavodsk as comfortable and useful as possible.

A.A. Rogozin emphasized that PetrSU actively interacts with employers to provide students with suitable vacancies.

“We are glad that our international students can work in multidisciplinary youth, social and medical institutions, where they not only provide assistance, but also immerse themselves in the cultural environment of Russia. This is an invaluable experience for their personal and professional development,

The students shared their impressions of life in Petrozavodsk and expressed gratitude to the university for the support and opportunities provided.

At the end of the meeting, Career Center staff reminded students of the need to timely complete all necessary documents for employment and offered their assistance in solving possible problems.
