Triumph of the Laboratory of folk and historical shipbuilding of PetrSU.
PetrSU was represented by two boats: sailboat “Lukomorye” and boat-vereyka “Lastochka (Swallow)”. It is important to mention, that participation in “Kizhskaya regatta” has become one of the stages of the expedition “Russian north: from Ilmen to Arctica”, which was organized within the framework of the Program for development of student unions’ activities.
The sailboat “Lukomorye” took the first place in the nomination “Shipbuilders of the Youth regatta” of the competition among the shipbuilders “Folk boat”. It was built by the postgraduate student of the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology Egor Klyuev jointly with the students of the Institute of Forestry, Engineering and Construction Sciences Mikhail Kashika and Oleg Borishkevich.
In the nomination “Traditional folk boats” the winner was the boat “Lastochka (Swallow)”, created by the student of the Institute of Forestry, Engineering and Construction Sciences Maria Chernova (construction supervisor – Egor Klyuev). It also took the first place in the traditional boat race (1 pair of oars).
The prizes to the winners were given by the Head of Karelia Alexander Khudilainen and the Director of museum-reserve “Kizhi” Elena Bogdanova.
The head of the Laboratory of folk and historical shipbuilding of PetrSU Taras Tyupko was awarded a special prize of the governor.
The activity of the Laboratory of folk and historical shipbuilding of PetrSU is conducted within the framework of the Program for development of student unions’ activities and Program for development of school unions’ activities.
