The PetrSU Career Center, in collaboration with the Institute of Physics and Technology, held a large-scale career event, "Techno.pro," bringing together over 150 students and 33 employers.

The Career Day started with a panel discussion, during which company representatives discussed the first interview process, what aspects of a candidate catch the eye of HR specialists, and which personal qualities are advantageous in a job interview.

The key event was the employers' platform, where students had the opportunity to personally meet with company representatives, discuss internship opportunities, learn about vacancies, and learn about employment prospects.

Following the employers' platform, students participated in 12 company master classes, immersing themselves in the practical aspects of the profession.

Representatives of the company "EFER" demonstrated the operation of unique equipment. The students not only saw the equipment in action but also discussed in detail the technical aspects of the invention and creation of the specialized equipment. Of particular interest was the discussion about the company's current developments and the extent to which employees can contribute their innovative ideas to the process.

Employees from the branch of the Radio and Television Transmission Center of the Republic of Karelia demonstrated the broadcast signal transmission process.

The students were given a detailed explanation of the strict requirements for specialists and the specifics of working with high-tech and expensive equipment, emphasizing the level of responsibility in this field.

A representative of the Design Center Consortium conducted an engaging quiz for the students on professional technical topics. The most active and knowledgeable participants received memorable gifts from the company, creating a positive and competitive atmosphere.

“Cementum North-West” presented basic information about the organization, held a game for the students to test their knowledge of its history, extracted resources, and plant locations, and the winners received souvenirs. At the end of the master class, the students were able to get answers to their questions.

Karelsky Okatysh presented its projects, including environmental investments, the implementation of machine vision, and experiments in creating new products. They also discussed technology development and the "Master's School" and "Digital Steel" programs.

Employees of the Kirov branch of Apatit JSC showed a film about the company's history and development directions, highlighted the advantages of working in the North, and the available benefits for young professionals (conference participation, accommodation, a youth club, a research and development center, and more).

Citylink held a master class on crimping twisted pair cables and welding optics. Employees explained the specifics of using a welding machine and the rules for working with optics. The students tried their hand at crimping and welding after the specialists.

Representatives of the Segezha Pulp and Paper Mill presented their company, demonstrated their work in short videos, and held a quiz, after which participants received prizes.

ATN conducted a tour of the boiler room, demonstrating its operating principles and design features, and showing students the equipment inside.

The Career Day culminated in a roundtable discussion where employers and staff of the Institute of Physics and Technology discussed prospects for long-term collaboration on employment, research, and education.

The Career Center thanks each participant for their interest and also extends its gratitude to the Institute of Physics and Technology and the photographer, Alexander Podelsky, the Institute graduate.
