Have you ever been to the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden or Silver Dollar City? Have you heard of the largest shopping center in the United States, the Mall of America? Then you should have certainly taken part in an interactive tour - a quiz across the USA titled "Minneapolis, Minnesota - Denver, Colorado - Branson, Missouri", held at the premises of the Karelian branch of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA).

A joint event with the participation of American guests, lecturers of the RANEPA and PetrSU, the 2nd-year students of the Economics department of the Karelian branch of the RANEPA, as well as the 1st and 2nd year students of the Institute of Mathematics and Information Technologies of PetrSU ("Applied Mathematics", "Software Engineering") was moderated by Vladislav Dorofeev, a senior lecturer of the Department of Foreign Languages for Technical and Natural Sciences and Specialties of the Institute of Foreign Languages, PetrSU, at the invitation of Ekaterina Vasilyeva, Associate Professor, Head of the Chair of Foreign Languages of the Karelian Branch of RANEPA.

Vladislav Dorofeev delivered a lecture on his trip to the USA in 2013. During his speech, Vladislav introduced the students to the main attractions of such cities as Denver, Colorado and Minneapolis, Minnesota, as well as the opportunities offered in these cities for outdoor activities.

American guests – artist and teacher Deborah Nolker and her husband Kevin Nolker (Warrensburg, Missouri) – shared stories about the most popular must-see places in Branson, Missouri. Deborah and Kevin Nolker paid special attention to visiting attractions such as the Titanic Museum, Marvel Cave and the Silver Dollar City theme park.

At the end of the joint event, students of the 1st and 2nd years of "Applied Mathematics" and "Software Engineering", PetrSU, conducted an interactive quiz in video format, while the students of the 2nd year of Economics, the Karelian branch of the RANEPA, were supposed to answer the quiz questions. The teachers and guests of the joint meeting assessed their answers.
