About theMost In-demand Jobs in the Arctic Region

Specialists from Petrozavodsk State University Irina Stepus, Anna Simakova and Evgeny Pitukhin carried out the research on the most in-demand jobs in the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation 2021-2035. 

Representatives of the Budget Monitoring Center of PetrSU have questioned 74 biggest Arctic companies, including 17 enterprises in Murmansk region, 14enterprises in the Nenets Autonomous District, 9 enterprises in the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District, 8 employers from the Arkhangelsk region, Krasnoyarsk territory and Chukotsky Autonomous District respectively, 7 from Karelia and 3 from the Republic of Komi. 

This information has been used in a list of the most in-demand jobs which require higher and secondary vocational education.

Scientists have made a comparative analysis of 50 professions and acquired some interesting data. It became evident that 40 professions relate to the area of secondary vocational education, however, not all specialists in these fields might be trained in the Arctic territories.
