Tatiana Voloshina, the Head of the Department of Technology, Fine Arts and Design of the Institute of Teaching and Psychology, joined an expert seminar on "Crafts Marketing: Old Meanings and New Approaches".
The purpose of the two-day seminar on "Crafts Marketing: Old Meanings and New Approaches" was to promote craft entrepreneurship.
The two-day seminar had a full program, with many discussions and insightful statements by speakers from the regions of Russia and Finland.
The first day of the international expert seminar "Crafts Marketing: Old Meanings and New Approaches" was devoted to a general topic "Marketing & Branding". It convened 30 onsite participants from different regions of the Russian Federation, 70 online participants from Russia and Finland, dozens of live streaming viewers on YouTube, new acquaintances and meetings with old friends, expert assessment by public servants and scientists, comments by experienced craftsmen and many other things provided by the Northern Crafts ID project team.
During the second day, the participants of the seminar, experts and the Northern Crafts ID project team discussed the experience of Russian regions in creative industries support and have also made a step to the drafting of an important document entitled the Strategy of the Crafts Development in the Republic of Karelia. That day the teachers of PetrSU - Tatiana Voloshina, Associate Professor, Candidate of Pedagogic Sciences, the Head of the Department of Technology, Fine Arts and Design, and Egor Permyakov, the Chairman of the board of the Karelian regional branch of the Union of Designers of Russia, reported respectively on "Teaching Fine Arts and Crafts at the University: Issues and Prospects" and "Petrozavodsk is the Capital of Russian Design 2020".
