Students Got Acquainted with Traditions of Turkmenistan
Students of the Department of Pedagogy and Child Psychology of the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology joined a special lecture on Turkmenistan within study of Ethnopedagogy as an academic discipline (teacher Liudmila Vlasova, Associate Professor, Candidate of Biological Sciences).
The choice of the topic for a lecture resulted from the fact that a foreign student Selbi Kazakova has been studying in a group for three years. Selbi delivered an insightful presentation about Turkmenistan, culture and traditions of people.
It turned out that the fellow students did not know a lot about the country where Selbi came from. A conversation about cultural features and traditions of Turkmenia and Karelia took place. Then, students answered the questions on communication and foreign student’s assistance. The language barrier has been mentioned as a core obstacle for communication.
Acquaintance of students with traditions of other countries where foreign students coming from will facilitate further intensification of the relationships among them.
