PetrSU Student is Studying at Abo Academy (Finland)
Student exchanges provide an opportunity to continue studying at a university in another country.
Daria Drozhzhina, the third-year student of PetrSU Institute of Physical Education, Sport and Tourism, is currently studying in the Finnish town of Vaasa at Abo Academy (Äbo Academy).
Daria's studies take place online and offline. Now she is taking a physical education course that introduces students to baseball, swimming, skiing, sports games and orienteering. From March, Daria will study courses in ethics and health, European nutrition and international studies. There are about 15 people in the study group, but all of them are spread out over different courses.
Daria shares her experiences:
«Vaasa is a very small town, mostly inhabited by students. The people here are very kind and friendly, ready to help and offer advice. I made a lot of new interesting friends from different countries. I learned to skate and go downhill skiing in a couple of weeks. The emotions are unforgettable.»
