Scientific Seminar with Japanese Researcher Kumon Tokumaru
Sabina Rudolfovna Nedbaylik, Ph.D., Associate Professor of the Department of German and French Languages at the Institute of Foreign Languages of PetrSU:
“It was with great pleasure and interest that I took part in an online meeting with Japanese researcher Kumon Tokumaru. The topic of linguistic evolution and its historical prerequisites has always attracted the attention of scientists from various scientific schools and directions, remaining quite relevant and problematic. Therefore, the alternative concept of the digital origin of verbal language offered to the attention of listeners is of great interest. The new information obtained during the seminar, fresh data from the author's experimental developments will be useful to us in our professional activities.
Maria Sergeevna Stayton, teacher at the University of Maryland (USA):
“The seminar conducted by K. Tokumaru is extremely important and interesting: it is a truly deep and alternative approach to a well-known topic: the historical evolution of man as homo sapiens, the bearer of linguistic intelligence. The researcher told us about his many years of scientific activity, shared fresh experimental data and interesting developments. I was pleasantly surprised by his ability to talk about complex realities and phenomena in a simple and accessible way. Such seminars allow teachers and students to expand their knowledge in various fields of linguistics and related sciences and gain a whole wealth of new information.
Natalya Lokshinova, student of Samara State Social and Pedagogical University:
“I am very glad that I had the opportunity to get acquainted with an interesting, alternative concept of human linguistic evolution, expand my knowledge and ideas, and obtain new information that will certainly be useful to me in the future.
The scientific event was organized jointly by the Student Scientific Society of the Institute of Foreign Languages of PetrSU (Associate Professor of the Department of German and French Languages of the Institute of Foreign Languages, Ph.D., S.R. Nedbaylik) and the Center for Applied Linguistic Research (Senior Lecturer of the Department of English Language V.A. Dmitrieva ).
