The Most Delicious Festival Took Place at PetrSU
Traditionally, for the fourth time, on the eve of March 8, the Department of the German and French Languages of the Institute of Foreign Languages (IFL) of PetrSU holds a culinary festival of German and French dishes.
Participants must prepare a dish, present it for tasting to the guests of the festival, design a recipe and their table. This year, the organizers decided to change the location and diversify the festival program.
At the entrance, there was a thematic photo zone, where everyone could take a photo as a souvenir. In addition to a variety of dishes (millefeuille, chocolate fondue, crepe Suzette, apple flan, cheese gougères, onion soup and quiche Lorraine), everyone could get to know the culinary traditions of Germany and France in more depth. For example, the organizers prepared interesting facts about famous dishes, prepared quiz questions, invited guests to determine the main tastes of these countries by smell with their eyes closed, and also for the most experienced - to test their knowledge of the recipes themselves.
This year, the circle of participants who wanted to cook French and German dishes has expanded. In addition to students and teachers of the Institute of Foreign Languages, employees also took part, for example, Irina Melnikova, Head of the Organizational Department of PetrSU, teachers and students of the MOU "Secondary School No. 3 - UNESCO School", as well as participants of the "Weekend in French" project and their parents.
All those who wished could leave their comments and impressions.
