Results of the Internship at the Belarusian State Economic University
Head of the Department of Tourism at Petrozavodsk State University Natalia Vladimirovna Kolesnikova completed an internship at the Belarusian State University of Economics (Minsk). The internship was one of the events of N.V. Kolesnikova's project, supported by the Vladimir Potanin Charitable Foundation within the framework of the "Professional Development" program.
The purpose of the internship was to study the experience of the Belarusian side in training specialists in the field of tourism, analyze the effectiveness of educational technologies and expand international cooperation. Participation allowed for an in-depth study of approaches to training future professionals in the hospitality industry and tour operating companies, to get acquainted with the experience of integrating employers into the educational process and educational tourism projects.
Particular attention was paid to the exchange of ideas on creating joint educational initiatives. These projects will contribute to the development of cultural exchange between countries and improve the level of education of students preparing to become professionals in the tourism business.
The experience gained will allow the introduction of new teaching methods and technologies at the Department of Tourism of Petrozavodsk University, improving the quality of training for the tourism sector of Karelia. This is important not only for increasing the competitiveness of university graduates in the labor market, but also for attracting tourists to the region, which contributes to the growth of economic activity and sustainable development of the Republic of Karelia.
In addition, establishing close partnerships with leading universities in Belarus opens up prospects for further cooperation, participation in joint research projects and the development of new curricula that meet international standards of educational quality.
