PetrSU Teacher – Participant of Educational Expedition in Kyrgyzstan
From August 2 to 17, A.A. Amelina worked as an ambassador of the Russian language at the "Barchyn" children's health camp on the northern shore of Lake Issyk-Kul in the village of Sary-Oy (Kyrgyzstan). The educational program included interactive classes and intellectual quizzes about Russia, creative master classes on playing spoons and making traditional Russian toys, as well as organizing a dance flash mob. Schoolchildren from different countries and cities of Russia took part in the events.
As part of their acquaintance with the host country, the ambassadors went on an excursion to the Semenovskoye and Grigoryevskoye gorges, where the northern branch of the Great Silk Road passed. The program volunteers learned about the purpose of ancient burial mounds, whose history dates back to before our era, had lunch in a yurt, went horseback riding and visited hot springs in the Issyk-Kul region.
“I express my deep gratitude to the "Ambassadors of the Russian Language in the World" program for the unique opportunities to preserve and popularize the native language and culture, participate in expeditions throughout Russia and abroad, improve their professional competencies, gain new experience and useful knowledge,
- noted Anastasia Amelin.
