PetrSU Programmers at the International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC)

From August 31 to September 5, the team of students of the Institute of Mathematics and Information Technologies is taking part in the Student Team World Programming Contest ICPC. The event is taking place in the capital of Azerbaijan, Baku, where the strongest young minds from all over the world will gather.

The team, which included E. Smirnov, N. Anisimov, I. Koshkarev, passed all the qualifying stages: quarterfinals and semifinals, beating hundreds of rivals from leading universities. Now they will have to compete for the title of world champions with more than 130 teams from the most famous universities.

The participants will have to solve dozens of complex algorithmic problems. Success depends not only on brilliant knowledge of programming languages, but also on the well-coordinated work of the team, strategic thinking and the ability to find non-standard solutions.

The ICPC Championship Finals is not only a competition, but also a unique opportunity to exchange experiences, meet future colleagues and employers from all over the world.
