Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from PetrSU Rector A.V. Voronin
On behalf of the Rector's Office, I sincerely congratulate you on the upcoming New Year and Merry Christmas!
During these festive days, we reflect on the past year and look to the future with hope. 2025 has been a special year for our university: it marked the preparation and celebration of two anniversaries: the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War and the 85th anniversary of Petrozavodsk State University. For us, this remarkable date has become not only a source of pride but also an incentive to continue working for the benefit of Russian education, society, and our country.
Thanks to the high professionalism, dedication, and creative pursuits of our faculty and staff, we are achieving significant results, maintaining PetrSU's prominent position as a center of science, education, and culture. This year, PetrSU students once again demonstrated themselves to be true young professionals and individuals with a proactive approach to life. Their academic, scientific, creative, volunteer, patriotic, and athletic activities, along with all the remarkable victories they have achieved, are not only their personal joy and pride, but also an honor for our university.
All who study and work at PetrSU are united by the vision of developing the university as our common home. I am grateful to the entire staff for their productive work and to our colleagues and partners for their fruitful collaboration.
I am confident that next year we will maintain our commitment to development and creation: our faith in our common cause, determination, and mutual support provide a solid foundation for future achievements. I wish us all the best and continue to set new goals. We will continue to move toward new victories, successfully address the challenges of the new era, and build and strengthen the university's potential so that at the end of 2026 we can proudly say, "We did it together!"
Dear friends, may the new year be filled with new ideas, professional victories, good deeds, fulfilled wishes, the warmth of loved ones, and the respect of colleagues!
May your families be filled with happiness and harmony, health and well-being!
The history of 2026 awaits us. What this history will be depends largely on us—on our decisions, initiatives, professional competencies, and aspirations.
