Myongji University (South Korea) Winter Online Language Exchange Program
“To begin with, I had to fill out a questionnaire outlining my expectations for the upcoming exchange. After completing the questionnaire and being selected for the program, I was contacted by a student from Myongji University. He was a second-year chemistry major.
The program focused on linguistic and cultural exchange. Every week, we met via video conference or instant messaging and discussed a specific topic in English for one hour. Thus, over the course of the six-week program, we managed to discuss hobbies and leisure activities, national cuisines and food, favorite music and films, and even taught each other a little Korean and Russian.
We also had the opportunity to learn a few other things about each other and actively shared our thoughts and opinions on various topics, which helped me better understand foreign cultures and mentalities.
I was left with an extremely positive impression of the program; it was a unique period of discovery, a time of discovery and discovery. This program not only helped me gain new knowledge but also make new connections.
