Workshop of International Project
The Institute of Forestry, Mining and Construction Sciences of PetrSU hosted another workshop in the framework of the project of the Karelia ENI CBC Program.
The workshop was dedicated to the issues of design, construction, and use of forest roads. Attendants could learn relevant information about new technologies in the design and construction of forest roads, new road-building machinery, and support systems for forest logistics. The last day of the workshop included a visit to forest road facilities, arranged in cooperation with AO Zapkarelles (Suoyarvi).
The workshop was organized by the Department of Construction Technology and Management and Technological Machines and Equipment and Technology and Organization of Forest Industry in the framework of the project of the Karelia ENI CBC Program “Boosting Forest Cluster SME Business in two Karelias”.
