Students from the University of Tromsø Took the Exams of Russian as a Foreign Language
Sixteen students from the University of Tromsø, the Arctic University of Norway, completed a six-week intensive online summer-autumn program at the Linguistic Center of PetrSU.
Students studied Vocabulary and Grammar, improved their speaking skills, and got acquainted with Russian literature and culture.
Recently, they have taken the oral and written exams. Both students and teachers worried a lot.
The students had to talk for 10 minutes on the topic proposed, answer the questions of 3 examiners, show the ability to make a conversation during the oral exam, write an essay on one of the topics given and display the skills of translation from/into Russian / Norwegian during the written exam.
The teachers of the Linguistic Center of PetrSU also faced difficult tasks: in addition to developing the program and the educational process itself, it was necessary to fulfill all the requirements for online learning established at the University of Tromsø. For example, become familiar with the grading system in Norway and use a grade point assessment scale from 1 to 6 (A-F).
Everyone did an excellent job, the Norwegian students successfully passed the exams, the teacher of Russian as a Foreign Language from the University of Tromsø noted significant progress in the students' knowledge.
We extend congratulations to our Norwegian students on completing the course and wish them every success in studying the Russian language and literature. We are waiting for them to study offline in Petrozavodsk!
