The international publishing house IGI Global published the 5th edition of the Encyclopedia of Information Science and Technology (1966 pages). Dmitrii Korzun, Associate Professor of the Department of Computer Science and Mathematical Support, was the only scientist from Russia involved in the work on the Editorial and Advisory Council of the publication. He examined and edited 6 of 136 interdisciplinary chapters of the encyclopedia.

«Two years ago, the editors of this encyclopedia approached me with a proposal to write a review, since I have competencies in this sphere.

This encyclopedia is of interest to scientists, engineers in the field of IT technologies, teachers, and students who major in IT.

As a rule, the Encyclopedia covers the latest achievements, and reviewing provides insight into the progress in the area. The information technologies are developing very fast, I learned about several scenarios of development when I was working on the articles», said Dmitrii Korzun.
