Participation of PetrSU Scholars in a Linguistic Seminar in Sweden
Stockholm University conducted a seminar «Högre språkvetenskapliga seminariet i ryska och tjeckiska».
Natalia Patroeva, the Head of the Department of Russian Language, Full Professor and Doctor of Philological Sciences, represented Petrozavodsk State University with her report on the syntax of Russian poetry in dictionaries of the 18th century.
The report included a grammatical analysis of the poetry language of the 18th century in the context of scientific research on the literary text and linguopoetics grammar. The statistical data and syntactic contexts obtained within the work on the "Syntactic Dictionary of Russian Poetry" served as illustrative material.
The audience marked the importance of addressing the issues of poetic syntax and verse text constructions of the 18th century in the aspect of modern scientific research as well as the linguistic processes of that time in the context of language development.
