Participation in the International Seminar of Euro-Arctic Region
The 1st year students of the Institute of History, Political and Social Sciences led by associate professor Oksana Ermolaeva participated in the International Workshop for students in the Barents Euro-Arctic Region.
A seminar organized by the Arctic University of Norway (Kirkines) was conducted under the title “Barents Arctic Tourism Experiences in the Borderland of Norway and Russia
Geopolitics, Innovation and the “green shift” in Northern Communities during, and after the Covid-19 Pandemic”.
There were also other participants alongside with PetrSU: Northern (Arctic) Federal University, Murmansk Arctic State University, University of Lapland, Higher School of Economics (Saint Petersburg), Norwegian-Russian Chamber of Commerce.
For three days, students listened to lectures by leading politicians, businessmen and scientists from Norway and Russia on innovative aspects of the development and management of ecological tourism in the Euro-Arctic Barents region, and at the end of the conference they presented their own projects.
