PetrSU Students and Teachers at the 6th International Research and Practice Conference
The city of Gomel hosted the 6th International Research and Practice Conference “Cross-border Cooperation in Environmental Safety and Environment Preservation” dedicated to issues of ecology, environmental safety and friendliness.
The organizers of the event were Francisk Skorina Gomel State University (Faculty of Geology and Geography, Department of Ecology), Gomel Regional Committee of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection (Republic of Belarus), Belorussian State University, Regional Public Association Gomel Association of Children and Youth “ACDEMO”, public association “Belorussian Geographical Society”.
Over 200 participants from the Russian Federation, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Republic of Belarus had applied to take part in the conference.
Petrozavodsk State University presented the results of the project implemented with the grant support of the Head of the Republic of Karelia. The report was presented by the Associate Professor of the Department of Zoology and Ecology of the Institute of Biology, Ecology and Agricultural Technologies Natalia Sidorova, the 2nd year postgraduate student Aleksandr Kuchko and the 2nd year Master’s Degree Biology student Natalia Chechkova. The report covered the morphological structure of heterotrophic prokaryote cenoses of bottom deposits at fish farms.
The conference provided the participants with opportunities to gain valuable experience in various issues of ecology. Proceedings of the conference will be published and indexed in the Russian Science Citation Index.
