The 76th All-Russian Scientific Conference of Students and Young Scientists of PetrSU
This year the conference will take place from April 1 to April 21 and will include 133 sections. All educational institutes of PetrSU, as well as the Regional Center for New Information Technologies, are involved in their organization. The conference will feature 1869 reports prepared by 1704 authors. Traditionally, most of the speakers are from PetrSU (this year their share is 86.6% of all authors). However, the geography of the conference is quite wide: this year, presentations by aspiring scientists from 17 regions of the Russian Federation (except Karelia), as well as 2 foreign countries, are planned.
The conference is also notable for the variety of formats for conducting sections: 102 are planned in a face-to-face format, 7 via video connection, and 24 in a mixed format. The decision on the format of the section is made by its moderator, based on the effectiveness of the session and the existing requests of the speakers.
Within the framework of the conference, a section “History of parliamentarism: from origins to the future” is planned, organized by the Institute of History, Political and Social Sciences, the Institute of Economics and Law and the Legislative Assembly of the Republic of Karelia. The section is dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Karelian parliament.
Traditionally, schoolchildren participate in the conference. By preparing reports under the guidance of experienced teachers, they get acquainted with PetrSU, become involved in scientific research and, thus, get enthusiastic to continue research by enrolling in the university.
The tradition of organizing separate sections for first-year graduate students continues. Conducting such sections helps improve the quality of training for future candidates of science.
The Student Scientific Society of PetrSU plays a significant role in organizing and conducting the conference.
The organizing committee of the conference wishes productive work, interesting reports, as well as audiences full of avid future eminent scientists.
