PetrSU Signed the First Agreement under the Flagship University Development Program
The Rector of PetrSU Anatoly Voronin and Oksana Gavrosh, the acting Minister of Agriculture, Fish and Hunting Industry of the Republic of Karelia, signed an Agreement of Cooperation.
On behalf of the university the participants of the meeting were the Vice-Rector for Scientific Research Vladimir Siunev, the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Konstantin Tarasov, the Director of the Institute of Biology, Ecology and Agriculture Technologies Nikita Onishchenko, the Head of the Directorate for Innovation and Production of PetrSU Olga Derbeneva, and the chief designer of the Student Design Engineering Department Evgeny Tikhonov.
Oksana Gavrosh expressed her gratitude to Anatoly Voronin and the employees of the university for the opportunity to use knowledge and expertise of PetrSU specialists:
“Petrozavodsk State University is the leading university in the field of science, education and information technologies. The university has proved this with its innovations, including developments in the field of agriculture. There are several innovations of PetrSU that will leave their mark in the development of the agriculture in our Republic, first of all, of the dairy cattle husbandry. The innovations in aquaculture are also recognized not only in Karelia but all over Russia, even abroad. We are glad that you allow us to use the knowledge and expertise of your employees in order to achieve results.”
In his turn, the Rector of the University Anatoly Voronin expressed the willingness to cooperate with the Ministry of Agriculture, Fish and Hunting Industry:
“Some areas of cooperation have already been established. Our employees take an active part in the development of fishery, yet the University has been doing research in other fields too. This work involves not only the specialists of the Institute of Biology, Ecology and Agriculture Technologies but also the employees of the Institute of Mathematics and Information Technologies, as well as our small innovative enterprises. We are ready to continue this work in close cooperation and be the driving force in the development of the Republic’s agriculture. We understand that fishery takes center stage. Together we can leap forward in all the fields.”
The document was the first agreement signed under the Flagship University Development Program of Petrozavodsk State University.
