Workshop by Theater Papilio+ GOBELIN for PetrSU Students
The event was dedicated to the Days of Germany in Petrozavodsk celebrating the 30-year anniversary of signing the twin-city relations between Petrozavodsk and Tubingen.
On September 25 the conference hall of the National Library of Karelia hosted a workshop of the theater Papilio+ GOBELIN for students of the groups 113 and 133 of the Department of the German and French Languages of the Institute of Foreign Languages of PetrSU.
Actresses Anna Rozenfelder and Janne Wagler told about the theatrical life of contemporary Germany and the festivals organized by the German theater community in Tubingen, which genuinely interested the young audience who inquired about the time and venues of such events in Germany. The workshop was held in the German language; the participants could test their acting skills and practice their knowledge of the German language. The first part of the workshop included individual sketches. The students creatively developed the topic of expressing emotions using pantomime and improvised materials. Spectators (students) shared their ideas on what they had seen in the German language.
In the second part, the participants formed four teams and prepared a mini-performance based on Pushkin’s A Tale about a Fisherman and a Fish. A feature of the performances was sheets of paper with which the students created interesting props. The participants showed an amazing ingenuity in preparing and staging their performances. The guests from Tubingen were fascinated by the creativity of young actors.
