As part of the "Student Tourism" youth and student tourism development program, PetrSU students and faculty traveled to Vladivostok. The program offers students unique opportunities: learning about the culture and educational traditions of other regions, participating in scientific and cultural events, and expanding professional contacts.

The students learned about the organization of youth and student tourism development in Primorsky Krai. During the meeting, representatives from Petrozavodsk State University and Vladivostok State University shared their experiences with student trips, presented their own case studies, discussed the challenges and successes of program implementation, and discussed new formats for collaboration.

The program included a tour of the university's scientific infrastructure and the cultural and historical center of Vladivostok, as well as participation in the international scientific and practical conference "The Intellectual Potential of Universities for the Development of the Russian Far East and Asia-Pacific Countries" as part of the "Student Tourism" platform.

Both universities actively support initiatives aimed at integrating students into the country's unified educational and cultural space. Based on the results of this exchange, new proposals were developed to popularize the "Student Tourism" program among students, improve travel logistics, and create joint inter-university routes. Plans include further developing student tourism and expanding the geography of academic exchanges.

“The trip left a wealth of impressions. Vladivostok impressed me with its uniqueness and originality. It's incredibly beautiful, and if the opportunity arises, I recommend everyone take advantage of it! I'm very glad that thanks to the institute, I saw all this, as I would hardly have consciously gone there on my own.

– Daria Orlova, student at the Institute of Physical Education, Sport and Tourism.

“I had a lot of emotions and unforgettable experiences. This city truly captivated us with its cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The Far East gave us incredible impressions, and now we know for sure that we will return again. We thank the organizers for the high level of preparation and the team for the incredible level of preparation! This was an important step in our professional growth.

– Irina Gorina, student at the Institute of Physical Education, Sport and Tourism.

“We would like to express our deep gratitude to our university and the University of Vladivostok, as well as to all the guides and attendants for their assistance throughout the trip and making our stay unforgettable! We not only got to know Vladivostok but also had a wonderful time on the excursions. It's wonderful that students now have such opportunities to travel around Russia.

– Anna Haukka, student at the Institute of Physical Education, Sport and Tourism.

“In Vladivostok, it was interesting to learn its history, interact with local residents, and discover the peculiarities of the local culture and urban organization. I especially enjoyed the atmosphere of the trip – we traveled with classmates, which made it even more comfortable and enriching. Overall, it was a very useful and inspiring experience that will definitely be remembered for a long time!

– Lyubov Stolikova, student at the Institute of Physical Education, Sport and Tourism.

“We first visited Moscow, where the capital amazed us with its scale and architecture. Red Square and Zaryadye Park were especially memorable: they offer a stunning blend of nature and modern technology.

Vladivostok State University impressed us with its well-designed infrastructure: everything students need is housed in one complex—a dormitory, a store, and a sports center with a swimming pool and gyms.

The grounds are also well-equipped. We loved the Botanical Garden. Inside, the university classrooms are equipped for various fields.

The trip was a wonderful experience: from admiring Moscow architecture to Vladivostok's unique layout. Each leg of the trip was memorable in its own way and left behind warm memories.

– Ksenia Korshunova, Gleb Kazakov, students of the Institute of Physical Education, Sport and Tourism.
