Plans for Cooperation with the Arctic University of Norway

Teachers of the University of Tromso – the Arctic University of Norway Laura Janda and Tore Nesset visited the Linguistic Center of PetrSU where students from the University of Tromso had been studying for two months.

Laura and Tore attended classes and appreciated the progress of the students in mastering the Russian language. The guests took part in the certificate award ceremony and tea party, during which the students made a presentation about their time at PetrSU, shared their impressions and emotions they had experienced in Russia and Karelia.

The teachers of the University of Tromso held open lectures on the topics “Russian paradigms: studies in corpus and computer teaching and a new resource for studying Russian morphology”, “Contrastive grammar: compound words of Germanic languages and corresponding Russian constructions” at the Institute of Foreign Languages.

At the meeting with the Director of the Linguistic Center of PetrSU Liudmila Kulikovskaya Laura Janda and Tore Nesset discussed further cooperation and new language programs for Norwegian students.
