Offsite Seminar of International Volunteer School 2.0
The Volunteer School 2.0, organized by the SLOVO International Agency, held an off-site seminar.
The participants of the seminar studied the challenges that foreigners face in Russia, took part in intercultural training, and learned the basics of time management and mind mapping. The students took turns between the studies and entertainment, as they took a quest on leadership and a quiz about countries and languages. At the end of the event, the participants of the School set criteria they will assess their work against and tried their hand in developing projects.
According to the organizers, the project development was not the main goal of the event and was needed mostly for team-building purposes, as during the task they could determine leaders and practice such skills as initiative and listening to each other.
The SLOVO International Agency works since 2017 to adapt international students of PetrSU in Russia and unite students from around the world.
The school was held at the Yalgora recreation center with the financial support of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs.
