PetrSU Participates in Implementation of the Cooperation Program between the Nordic Council of Ministers with Northwest Russia

Within the topical cooperation program between the Nordic Council of Ministers with Northwest Russia in the area of healthcare “Nordic-Russian Cooperation on Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Containment, 2019-2020”, the partners held the seminar “Antimicrobial Stewardship in Ambulance Setting”.

The seminar featured the reports by Jens Rasmussen, senior advisor at the Nordic Council of Ministers (Denmark), Dmitry Titkov, manager of the cooperation program at the National Institute for Health and Welfare (Finland), Lars Blad, infectious disease physician, WHO consultant on antimicrobial resistance (AMR) containment (Sweden), Veronika Solholm-Jensen (Denmark), Johan Struwe, the Public Health Agency of Sweden, Svetlana Rachina, M.D., Professor of the People’s Friendship University of Russia, Tatiana Spichak, M.D., Professor of the I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University, Nadezhda Haser, M.D., Associate Professor of the St. Petersburg Research Institute of Emergency and Intensive Care, as well as the healthcare specialists from Murmansk Oblast, Arkhangelsk Oblast, Saint Petersburg, and the Republic of Karelia.

PetrSU was represented by the head of the Department of Hospital Therapy of the Institute of Medicine, M.D. Professor Natalia Vezikova, the project coordinator in the Republic of Karelia, as well as Professor of the Department of Hospital Therapy, M.D. Olga Barusheva.

The seminar convened 87 participants, among whom were professors and associate professors, resident physicians, students of the Institute of Medicine of PetrSU, medical practitioners of the Republic of Karelia and Northwest Russia.

The partners scheduled the upcoming events in the framework of the international cooperation on antimicrobial resistance (AMR) containment for 2019-2020.
