PetrSU at the Largest Education Expo in Hungary
On January 9 Budapest hosted the 20th international education expo Educatio 2020. This year the event convened over 200 participants and around 53 000 visitors.
Teachers, students, employees of international offices of 57 higher educational institutions from all over the world shared their practices of admission, education, as well as career prospects and employment.
Russia was represented by 13 universities that had long been cooperating with Hungary in science and education. The 2020 expo was the first to feature three member universities of the Association of Finno-Ugric Universities from Karelia, Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug, and the Republic of Mari El.
At the expo, the AFUU members met the attaché for science and technologies of the Embassy of Hungary in Moscow Ács Arnold Bence. The parties discussed prospects for broadening the cooperation within the Association of Finno-Ugric Universities, information activities on the Internet, as well as scientific collaboration and development of the Association.
On the first day of the expo, the booth of PetrSU was attended by hundreds of schoolchildren and students of Hungarian universities who would like to continue their education in Karelia. Among the programs offered at PetrSU, the most popular were the programs of the Institute of Economics and Law, as well as the courses of Russian as a foreign language.
The head of the International Projects Division Alexey Rogozin also took part in a work meeting at the Russian Center for Science and Education (Rossotrudnichestvo) of Hungary and answered questions of parents of the schoolchildren and students who plan to study in Russia.
