PetrSU Considers Joining Netzwerk D Consortium

Rector of Petrozavodsk State University Anatoly Voronin met with Doctor Klaus Waschik, Executive Director of the Institute of Intensive Language Training (LSI) (part of Ruhr-Universitat Bochum, Germany) and Svetlana Kibardina, head of the Department of Linguistics and Intercultural Communication of Vologda State University, project manager of the LSI.online Deutsch in Russia and Netzwerk D Consortium (Internationales Konsortium zum Studium der deutschen Sprache und Kultur).

At the meeting, PetrSU was also represented by the Vice-Rector for International Affairs Marina Gvozdeva, the Director of the Institute of Foreign Languages Inna Kreneva and the Head of the Department of the German and French Languages Irina Kotyurova.

The main topic for discussion was prospects of admitting Petrozavodsk State University to Netzwerk D Consortium, as well as the introduction of LSI.online platform into foreign language studies of PetrSU students.

The Consortium already has agreements on network cooperation with such universities as Northern (Arctic) Federal University, Nizhny Novgorod State Linguistic University, Tver State University and other universities of the Russian Federation.
