Starting from January 2020 the scientific journal Proceedings of Petrozavodsk State University is included in The Nordic List, the registry of scientific journals and publications of the Nordic countries.

Since 2015 the Nordic countries have been collaborating in the development of a common registry that would include authorized lists of scientific publications of these countries with all necessary bibliographic data on journals, scientific papers, and publishing houses.

To create this register Denmark, Finland, and Norway joined their national bases of scientific publications used in the assessment of publication activities by national agencies that are funding research in these countries.

The Nordic List itself was developed in 2016-2018. The technical coordination was performed by the Norwegian Center for Research Data (NSD), while the Nordic Council and the NordForsk funded the project.

The Nordic List includes bibliographical data of all scientific publications listed in the national registries of Denmark, Finland, and Norway. From a technical viewpoint, this register unites national databases of scientific publications so registered users in all countries that participate in this project (even those without national registries) have access to the common source of bibliographical data. It makes the search for information easier and more efficient.

The registry always has the latest information, as the national databases update bibliographical data. The registry facilitates an overview of research output in the Nordic countries.

The Nordic List application and database are hosted in a cloud solution and are available for registered users.

The registry includes publishers, series of scientific publications, scientific journals, and conferences. For each entry, the registry provides all necessary bibliographical data, including information consistent with the data fields of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).

The Nordic List also includes unique metadata that describe each entry: registration dates, modification, history, comments, etc.

The scientific journal Proceedings of Petrozavodsk State University joined the system alongside Scandinavian Scando-Slavica, Harvard’s Paleoslavica, Russian Voprosy Literatury (Issues of Literature), etc. The Transactions of Petrozavodsk State University is being published for 42 years so now the cover and front-page feature the volume number.
